Donation Drive - Names On tables

We’re in a spot, not a very good one I’m afraid. As everyone knows businesses, medium, small, local, all varieties are hurting out there. We are one of them. Forced to shut the doors mid-March, for good reason. We had no choice canceled our most anticipated and popular events. St. Patrick’s, Tartan Day and the Golf outing. Events that do well for the club in terms of the great times but more importantly brings in the cash. As that sucks all on its own, bookings for the hall, the life blood of the club, were canceled. Yeah, it’s not good.

That all said, you know who we are, who you are. We might be knocked down, but we always get back up. We’ve been here before haven’t we, we’ll find a way as we do, get it together and eventually be back on our feet doing what we do. So, where are we? we’ve been maintaining the club best we could these weeks, taking care of our financial obligations and such.

Recently, due to the Trenton grip loosening we’ve filed for all the necessary things to get us started on the road back. The yard is open for some sort of normality. Limited in the fact the inside of the Club will have to remain closed and only used for picking up your choice of refreshment, the way in and use of lavatories.

Check back with us to know more. Email preferred, scotsamericanclubkearny@gmail.com

What can you do to help the club? Short term, when we open, get down here and get em in! that’s a start and will be much appreciated.

To kick this off we’ve started a donation campaign in order to get the yard going. For a donation of $100, a picnic table in the yard will have your name on it along with others. Yes, a table you can visit and rest beers on for years to come. We have some lined up and ready to be placed now. So, contact us via the club’s email and help us get back in business. A PayPal  account has been set up to receive the donations. Look for "Scots American Athletic Club"  on Paypal . In the notes section, write what you want said on the table. Hope to see all of you for that first pint back at the Club.

Regards, Andrew Pollock
